The lozenge shaped bronze vase with three coloured patinas, gold, silver and copper, flanked to each side by an elephant's head handle, signed Christofle & Cie. and numbered 929006.
After a design by Emile-Auguste Reiber, a similar vase is in the permanent collection of the Musée Cernuschi in Paris.
