the adjustable music or piano stools, with chrome and polished brass X-frame shaped bases, with a central rod with handle to adjust the height of the stools, the ebonised frames with original brown buttoned-down leather seats, the rails underneath stamped twice C.H. Hare & Son Patent Appd. For No. 18969.

A single stool of identical design with the same patent number and also stamped C.H. Hare & Son but with embroidered seat was sold at Christie's, London, 25 October 2011, lot 516.
